About Amber
Our Story
Greenpoint’s first classic steakhouse, founded in 2010.
Amber Steakhouse opened in 2010 with a clear and singular purpose: to bring the standards, craft, and restraint of a traditional Manhattan steakhouse to the heart of Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
From the beginning, Amber positioned itself not as a trend-driven restaurant, but as a place built to last. The focus has always been on fundamentals—carefully sourced beef, precise cooking, attentive service, and an atmosphere designed for unhurried dining.
Our approach is rooted in respect for technique. From the selection of Certified Angus® beef to a tightly controlled in-house dry-aging program, every detail of the Amber experience is built around consistency and execution rather than novelty.
Deeply connected to Greenpoint’s Polish-American heritage and evolving waterfront identity, Amber Steakhouse has remained a steady presence in a changing neighborhood—offering a confident, enduring dining destination for those who value tradition over trends.
The Kitchen
Led by Executive Chef Patryk Czenczek
Executive Chef Patryk Czenczek brings a disciplined, European-trained approach to the Amber kitchen. Born and educated in Poland, Chef Patryk developed his culinary foundation through formal training rooted in classical technique before establishing his career in New York.
His philosophy is one of precision and restraint—allowing the quality and character of each ingredient to speak without unnecessary complexity. Nowhere is this more evident than in Amber’s steak program, which Chef Patryk oversees personally, from beef selection through the dry-aging process and final preparation.
With rigorous standards and a craftsman’s attention to detail, the kitchen operates with quiet intensity and consistency. Under his leadership, Amber has earned a reputation as a dependable neighborhood institution—defined not by reinvention, but by reliability and care.
